Need to look up ISRCs or other metadata in bulk? Contact us.
ISRCs can help with the matching of music usage to musical works and sound recordings registered with collection societies around the world.
Increasing the likelihood of music usage being matched to song or recording registrations ultimately leads to higher and faster royalty payments to artists, songwriters, record labels and music publishers.
Or simply: better, more complete metadata = more $.
So when you register a musical work with collection societies, or when providing your publisher with the song details, make sure to include the ISRC(s).
The problem can be that record labels don't always automatically communicate ISRC information to artists.
That's why I've set up this site, so that you can look up the ISRC for any of your recordings on Spotify yourself.
Spotify is the de facto largest ISRC database in the world. If your track is live on Spotify, you will be able to grab the ISRC.
Quite a few of you have reached out and asked for a "UPC Finder". Good news, that's now available over here.
A UPC or EAN in the music context is a product/release identifier typically assigned by your distributor. Knowing your release's UPC or EAN can be a mandatory piece of metadata at some Neighbouring Rights collection societies, such as SoundExchange.
You might also need it when moving your music from one distributor to another.
